Fred Hutch is home to one of the world’s most renowned blood and marrow transplant (BMT) programs, a groundbreaking therapy developed at Fred Hutch that has since saved countless lives. With over 18,500 transplants done, Fred Hutch continues to lead the world in advancing BMT as a curative treatment for blood cancers and blood disorders.
The Fred Hutch BMT Program offers both autologous (using the patient’s own cells) and allogeneic (using donor cells) transplants, supported by a multidisciplinary team. Fred Hutch’s pioneering research and clinical expertise continue to improve transplant outcomes and expand access to matched donors for patients of all backgrounds. Fred Hutch is also accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy.
