Driving Directions

There are multiple transit construction projects planned in the South Lake Union neighborhood around the Fred Hutch campus. There will be work on the I-5 Ship Canal Bridge and Fairview Avenue North as part of the RapidRide J Line project, that will not be complete until 2027. We apologize for the inconvenience but please plan for extra travel time due to congestion caused by the construction.

Breast Cancer Services

The breast oncology team at Fred Hutch provides expert care for all stages of breast cancer, including surgical, medical and radiation oncology. Learn about some of the types of care they provide.

Breast Cancer Specialty Clinic (BCSC)

The BCSC is a multidisciplinary center for people with non-metastatic invasive breast cancer. In this clinic, you will meet with members of the breast team to discuss your diagnosis and treatment plan, receive care and check-in on your progress and overall health during treatment. Your care team may include a nurse navigator, breast surgeon, medical oncologist and radiation oncologist, who work together to create a treatment plan that reflects your needs and preferences. A visit usually takes about half a day and includes an initial meeting with the nurse navigator, an exam and history review with a resident or fellow, a team discussion of your options, and one-on-one time with your physicians to review recommendations and next steps.

Breast Health Clinic

The Breast Health Clinic cares for people with breast health concerns, higher risk for breast cancer, or breast cancer surgery needs. The team evaluates symptoms such as a breast lump, abnormal screening mammogram or other concerns, and provides imaging, clinical breast exams and biopsies when needed. For people at higher risk, the clinic develops a personalized screening and follow-up plan, helps reduce risk and connects patients with other Fred Hutch services. UW Medicine breast surgeons also see patients here, and the clinic provides care before and after breast surgery.

Breast Medical Oncology Clinic

The Breast Medical Oncology Clinic focuses on medicine-based breast cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. Most people with breast cancer receive one or more of these treatments, and for metastatic breast cancer, treatment is often primarily medicine-based.

Breast Sexual Health Clinic

Breast Sexual Health Clinic was formed to help support a wide range of sexual health needs throughout your cancer treatment and beyond. It can help with both the physical and emotional issues that may happen because of breast cancer treatment and specifically the suppression of estrogen.

Survivorship

We offer screenings, prevention recommendations and help managing the effects of your cancer and treatment. Our team can help determine what type of survivorship care you need, whether it is support after treatment or monitoring for your specific disease type. We encourage patients to participate in one of our follow-up programs for cancer survivors.
