Fred Hutch Cancer Center offers wellness and preventative care through the Wellness Center, located on our Fred Hutch campus in South Lake Union. The Wellness Center is home to multiple clinics and programs that range in specialty from clinical genetics and integrative medicine to cancer prevention and survivorship.

Walking from the Sloan Clinic:
- Note: The walking path is approximately 500 feet long one way and is a hill for most of that distance. This route is only recommended for people who can walk up and down it safely.
- From Sloan Clinic 1: Exit the clinic and turn left down Aloha Street.
- From Sloan Clinic 2: Exit the clinic and turn right down Yale Ave. N.
- At the corner of Yale Ave. N. and Aloha St., cross Aloha St. and walk down the brick path, shown as a line of blue dots on the PDF map above.
- The Arnold Building front door is on your left once you reach the roundabout.
Driving from the Sloan Clinic to the Arnold Building:
- From Sloan Clinic 1:
- Exit the parking garage onto Aloha St.
- Turn left onto Aloha St.
- Travel one block to Fairview Ave. N.
- Turn right onto Fairview Ave. N.
- Turn right at the next intersection onto Ward St.
- The parking garage entrance will be on your right.
- From Sloan Clinic 2:
- Exit the parking garage onto Yale Ave. N.
- Turn right onto Yale Ave. N.
- At the stop sign on Aloha St., turn left.
- Follow the directions above from Sloan Clinic 1.
Patients and their visitors can park for free in the Arnold Building parking garage, where designated visitor spots are clearly marked.

If you have questions, ask at the reception desk, located inside the front door of the Arnold Building.
Directions from Freeways
From I-5
- Take exit 167, Mercer St./Seattle Center. (If you are northbound on I-5, you will exit I-5 from the far left lane. If you are southbound, you will exit I-5 from the far right lane.)
- As you exit, move to the far right lane.
- Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Fairview Ave. N.
- Veer right at the light, staying on Fairview Ave. N. (Do not turn right onto Valley St.)
- Stay in the right lane and go through the traffic light at Aloha St.
- Go past the Robert M. Arnold building and turn right at the next intersection onto Ward St.
- Enter the building and follow the signs to Level E.
From the East Via 520
- Take 520 west.
- Exit onto I-5 south.
- Follow the directions above from I-5.
From the East Via I-90
- Take I-90 west.
- Exit onto I-5 north.
- Follow the directions above from I-5.
Directions from UW Medical Center - Montlake
Head west on NE Pacific St. (This is the street that runs in front of UW Medical Center - Montlake, which is located at 1959 NE Pacific St.)
- Turn right onto 15th Ave. NE.
- Turn left onto NE Campus Pkwy.
- Veer left on NE Campus Pkwy, pass through the tunnel, and merge with southbound traffic to cross the University Bridge. At this point, the street you are on becomes Eastlake Ave. E.
- Follow Eastlake Ave. E. and turn right onto Aloha St.
- Take Aloha St. to the bottom of the hill and turn right onto Fairview Ave. N.
- Turn right onto Ward St.
Parking
Patients and their visitors may park in the Arnold building parking garage free of charge. The garage can be accessed from Ward St. just off of Fairvew Ave. N. Metered street parking is also available in the area, which is free after 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and Sunday.
Public Transit
- Fred Hutch shuttle - our shuttle runs between Sloan Clinic 1 and UW Medical Center - Montlake, Pete Gross House and Behnke Family House.
- Metro Bus route near the Wellness Center is route 70. This bus runs between downtown Seattle and the University District. Check Metro for alternative routes that may be convenient for you.
- Seattle Streetcar operates between downtown and Fred Hutch Cancer Center.
- Transportation options include volunteer drivers, taxis, and airport shuttles.
