Driving Directions

There are multiple transit construction projects planned in the South Lake Union neighborhood around the Fred Hutch campus. There will be work on the I-5 Ship Canal Bridge and Fairview Avenue North as part of the RapidRide J Line project, that will not be complete until 2027. We apologize for the inconvenience but please plan for extra travel time due to congestion caused by the construction.

Breast Imaging and Mammography Services

Our technologists and radiologists are experts in breast imaging, offering a full range of imaging types to get the details needed for diagnosis, disease staging and care plans.

Mammogram

A standard breast X-ray used to detect early signs of cancer, often before symptoms appear. Recommended as a routine screening tool for most women starting at age 40.

3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis)

An advanced form of mammography that creates a three-dimensional image of the breast, improving accuracy and reducing false positives, especially in dense breast tissue.

Breast Ultrasound

A non-invasive imaging method that uses sound waves to evaluate breast tissue. Often used to further investigate abnormalities found on a mammogram or physical exam, especially in people with dense breast tissue.

Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

A highly sensitive imaging test used for individuals at high risk for breast cancer or for further evaluation of abnormalities found on a mammogram or ultrasound.

Other Breast Imaging

Includes diagnostic mammograms and additional targeted imaging techniques tailored to specific symptoms or concerns, such as lumps, pain or abnormal screening results.
