Media Visitation Guidelines
- All media inquiries and onsite media activities are handled by the Media Relations team.
- Reporters, photographers and videographers must be accompanied by a member of the Media Relations team while on the Fred Hutch campus.
- Visits must be arranged in advance to ensure that proper authorizations have been granted.
- We have strict rules regarding patient confidentiality and consideration. Therefore, we must have consent forms signed when media uses names or photos of patients.
Request to Film on the Fred Hutch Campus
If you are a member of the news media, contact Fred Hutch’s Media Relations team at 206.667.2210 or media@fredhutch.org for immediate assistance. For all other requests to film at Fred Hutch, including documentaries and photos or videos for third-party organizations, follow the process outlined below.
Please review Fred Hutch’s Film Authorization Agreement prior to submitting your request and note that:
All requests to film at Fred Hutch facilities must be submitted to the Media Relations team and will be reviewed and considered on a case-by-case basis.
We require at least two weeks to review and vet requests prior to scheduling any filming.
If approved, the entity will be required to:
- Share the final video with Fred Hutch for review and approval prior to release;
- Sign the Fred Hutch Film Authorization Agreement; and
- Provide proof of liability insurance coverage in the amount of $1 million for property damage and $2 million for injury or death.
