Center hosts annual cancer survivorship seminar June 2

'Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness' features keynote by comedian/juggler/survivor, breakout sessions on health and well-being, and provider panel; registration required

Cancer survivors and those who support and care for them converge on campus Saturday, June 2 for Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness, the annual educational event of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Survivorship Program.

The event kicks off with survivor, comedian, and juggler Scott Burton, who will present the keynote in Pelton Auditorium at 9 a.m.

Attendees have the opportunity to choose three breakout sessions. Topics for the sessions will include:

  • Fatigue
  • Memory and cognitive function
  • Exercise and nutrition
  • Complementary and alternative medicine
  • Spirituality
  • Sexuality
  • Stress management

General sessions include a networking lunch and provider Q&A panel.
