For members of the Magnolia Guild it’s not enough to raise more than $518,000 for the Hutchinson Center’s pancreas cancer research at the 2011 Premier Chefs Dinner. Guild volunteers want to top that total during next year’s culinary event with the help of new members—perhaps with you among them.
Community leaders in Seattle’s Magnolia and Queen Anne neighborhoods formed the Magnolia Guild in the early 1990s. The guild currently has 25 members. They meet monthly from September through June, with a break in the summer. In addition to hosting the annual Premier Chefs Dinner, members volunteer their time in support of cancer patients and their families.
Everyone is welcome; there are no prerequisites for membership. For more information contact Special Events at (206) 667-6252 or chefs@fhcrc.org.
