Renton’s Brotherton Cadillac will award a 2011 Cadillac CTS to one lucky Twitter user in an innovative social media campaign to raise money for five nonprofits, including the Hutchinson Center.
The Cadillac will go to a tweeter from the first participating nonprofit to raise $140,000—or the nonprofit that receives the most donations by Jan. 1. All tweeters who’ve sent the winning organization’s phrase will be in the running for the car.
To help the Center, tweet or re-tweet this phrase as many times as you want:
I support @HutchinsonCtr in @BroCadillac's #RaceForARide http://bit.ly/Race4Ride
If you don’t have a Twitter account, simply visit www.twitter.com, click on “Sign Up,” enter your name, select a user name, password and e-mail. Then find friends who are on Twitter and follow them—including @HutchinsonCtr—and start tweeting.
Donate so your tweets can compete
If the Center receives more donations than the other charities, all the individuals who tweeted for the Center will be entered to win the new Cadillac. Even small donations can make a difference in this race. Visit the Race for a Ride website to make a donation—and share this with your friends. They can donate and tweet to compete too.
Track tweets, donations
The contest ends on Jan. 1, or when one of the nonprofits reaches the donation goal, whichever comes first. Other participating nonprofits are The Arthritis Foundation, The Moyer Foundation, Seattle Children’s and Special Olympics Washington. Visit the Race for a Ride website to count the tweets and track the Center’s fundraising progress.
