Actress Jonna Tamases headlines survivorship event June 26

Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness features seminars on late and long-term effects of treatment

Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness, the Center’s annual educational event for cancer survivors, returns Saturday, June 26, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. with an expanded slate of seminars.

Hosted by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Survivorship Program  and supported by a grant from LIVESTRONG, the event will feature Center experts on topics including:

- Post-treatment fatigue
- Memory and cognitive function
- Exercise and nutrition
- Complementary and alternative medicine
- Relationships and sexuality
- Insurance rights and more.

The special treat for attendees: a performance by comedic actress Jonna Tamases, a three-time cancer survivor who has turned her experiences into an award-winning one-woman show. Check-in, breakfast and general sessions will take place in the Thomas Building.
