New edition of transplantation textbook unveiled

The 1,800-page fourth edition of Dr. E. Donnall Thomas' "Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation" was unveiled at the 50th anniversary meeting of the American Society of Hematology, Dec. 8 in San Francisco.

The world's leading textbook on the topic contains 109 chapters, many written by Hutchinson Center scientists. Tanya Chiatovich, assistant to Dr. Fred Appelbaum, worked with the authors and the publishers to assure the book's quality content and on-time publication.
