The results are in from the annual NWjobs/Seattle Times People's Picks contest, and the "Best biotech company" for which to work is the Hutchinson Center. Voters cited the fact the Center is more than a biotech, it's a nonprofit research institution with three Nobel laureates, a public-health center and a cancer- care clinic on campus.

"As a cancer survivor, I have directly benefited from their advances in medical research and partly credit them for my survival," an employee said. "I believe that with their great works, we will find a cure in my lifetime."
