Before a new project begins, our team works with you to devise an experimental strategy and project plan, including all phases of technology selection, experimental design, sample quality control, data generation and analysis. Based on scope of work, the core’s genomics team drafts a customized quote, detailing each service we would provide. Users are encouraged to discuss desired analyses with our bioinformatics team during this planning phase to ensure that sequencing strategy is matched to overall analytical goals. Our bioinformatics team works closely with the genomics team to track data all the way from quality-control during the data-generation phase to completed analysis package.

Developing a Better Chromatin Mapping Technique

Our team helps scientists push the boundaries of knowledge, including by developing new techniques to generate and analyze genomic data. The Hutch’s Henikoff Lab turned to the Genomics & Bioinformatics shared resource for help developing CUT&RUN, a highly sensitive method to assess chromatin features and histone or transcription factor binding.
