Leading the Way in the Pursuit of Cures

The Nobel Laureates Circle recognizes our visionary donors who make cumulative gifts of $1 million or more to Fred Hutch. These philanthropic leaders are fueling exponential advances in preventing, detecting, treating and curing cancer and other diseases.

50K

patients receive blood stem cell transplants each year

More than 50,000 patients worldwide receive blood stem cell transplants annually, all tracing back to the Hutch’s pioneering work.

6X

faster — the speed new projects can launch with donor dollars

Private support helps Fred Hutch launch promising new projects up to six times faster than research funded by government grants alone.

26

endowed chairs help us recruit and retain the best researchers

Thanks to donor generosity, the number of endowed chairs has expanded from five to 26 in just two years.

$1M

endows a fellowship for a promising new scientist

A $1 million gift endows a fellowship for a scientist on the threshold of a career of lifesaving discoveries.

Nobel Prize Winners

The Nobel Laureates Circle was named to honor Fred Hutch’s Nobel Prize recipients, Drs. E. Donnall Thomas (1990), Lee Hartwell (2001) and Linda Buck (2004). Each received the Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine and further cemented Fred Hutch’s reputation for scientific innovation and excellence.
