Youth for Fred Hutch

Take action for Fred Hutch: Next-generation fundraisers

Kids, teens and young adults across the country are getting creative to fundraise and help cure cancer. Which fundraiser will you choose? Whether it’s a bake sale, art auction, school challenge or sports event — you can help scientists make discoveries that change the world by supporting Fred Hutch Cancer Center.

How it Works

Step 1: Register and pick an activity

First, sign up and pick an activity you’ll do to fundraise for Fred Hutch. Try a bake sale, bike ride, art auction or dance party!

Step 2: Set up your page

You’ll get your own fundraising page that you can customize with photos, your story and how much money you want to raise.

Step 3: Spread the word

Use flyers, social media, emails and texts to ask your friends and family to support your fundraiser. (We have tools to help you!)

Step 4: Support research

Every dollar you raise will help Fred Hutch push forward groundbreaking research and find new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer and infectious disease.

You + Fred Hutch = Science that Helps People.

Why Fundraise for Fred Hutch?

If you’re here, you’re probably ready to do something to help people affected by cancer or infectious disease. Fundraising is a great way to do it. (Nice job!)

When you raise money for Fred Hutch, you help our research teams learn new things about cancer so they can find it earlier, treat it more effectively, and even cure it.

Fundraising Spotlight

Kolbi’s “Dig Pink” Fundraiser

When Kolbi was in 7th grade, she was treated for stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. “It was during the COVID pandemic,” said her mom, Bree. “She went through eight rounds of chemotherapy, and we celebrated her birthday distanced from her friends, but she never lost her smile!”

Now, Kolbi is a healthy high school student. To honor her experience and help others, she and her volleyball team have joined up with teams all over the country to raise money for cancer research at Fred Hutch. Their fundraiser is called “Dig Pink.”

“Our family is happy to be a part of a special fundraiser for a place that means so much to us,” said Kolbi's mom.
