- High school students entering their senior year
- Undergraduate of any level
- Postbaccalaureate (no more than 1-year post-graduating from an undergraduate program)

Structure
For summer 2026, between three to five projects supporting cord blood and stem cell transplant research within the CBT group will be identified based on current program need. Please see our main program page for current areas of focus.
Interns will be selected and matched based on alignment of interest, education and experience with determined projects and notified of their match at time of acceptance.
Interns will work directly with an assigned mentor within the CBT program that aligns with their project/academic focus. Additional experiences will be provided on a case-by-case basis for individualized career development. Opportunities include clinical shadowing, hands-on laboratory experience, clinical data analysis, public health research and more.
At the end of the program, students are expected to create and present their completed project either in poster or oral presentation format at a CBT Program-approved event or conference.
