Radiology
Healthcare provides a unique opportunity to help and serve in a scientifically dynamic field. Cancer affects everyone and I want to be a part of the movement that continually strives to more effectively diagnose and treat patients with cancer. I serve as the Deputy Director of the OncoRad Lab, which provides response assessment imaging interpretation for patients enrolled in clinical trials at University of Washington and Fred Hutch. We provide high-quality, criteria-based imaging assessments of tumor response specifically for patients on oncology clinical trials to help guide treatment decisions and support the research mission of the institutions. I hope to see imaging continue to evolve to allow earlier means of noninvasive diagnosis with resultant improvement in quality of life and survival. I also hope to see newer imaging techniques allow for increasingly precise ways of planning and assessing treatment response so that patients can truly receive individualized therapy. Outside of work, I enjoy playing and watching baseball, football, basketball; listening to music; baking and playing with my two daughters.
