Medical Oncology
Medicine, and especially oncology, is the perfect intersection of caring for people while incorporating the latest in clinical research. It is important to understand all the details and have the most up-to-date information and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with patients so they can understand and make decisions. We also have some of the nation’s best experts, who work to evaluate and address clinical concerns. I appreciate the collaborative environment.
I was influenced by my uncle, who was a researcher and scientist and who unfortunately developed pancreatic cancer. This is what initially drew me to the field. Then, when I was a resident, I found caring for patients with cancer the most rewarding. It really is an honor to be able to get to know them and their families while they navigate what is often a very difficult time.
Area of clinical practice
Skin cancer, kidney cancer
I am a physician who sees patients at the South Lake Union Clinic. As a medical oncologist, I specialize in treating patients with aggressive skin cancers and kidney cancers.
As a large focus of my work, I conduct clinical trials to bring cutting-edge treatments to our patients with skin cancers, ocular melanoma, and kidney cancers. My goal is to support my patients and make sure they have the best knowledge and resources available to them through a difficult process.
