Radiation Oncology

“Working together, my goal is to make sure you really understand your treatment options so you can feel confident in your decisions.”

— Dr. Leng

What brought you to oncology?

I have always been drawn to oncology because it is uniquely meaningful, and I find great satisfaction using the best technologies to design radiation treatments tailored to each individual. It is an extraordinary opportunity to provide care that brings clarity and comfort around the uncertainties that come with cancer.

What do you value about your work?

I am grateful every day to be entrusted with the stories and experiences of patients confronting cancer. I believe that careful listening to each person and their hopes, fears and life beyond disease is foundational to the patient-provider relationship.

Provider Background

Area of Clinical Practice
Gynecologic cancers, genitourinary cancers, radiation oncology, proton therapy

I am a radiation oncologist who sees patients at the Sloan Clinic and Fred Hutch Cancer Center - Proton Therapy.

As a radiation oncologist, I specialize in caring for patients with gynecologic and genitourinary cancers. I have the privilege of being part of a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, treatment planners, therapists and supportive care professionals who are all deeply committed to providing the best possible care for each patient. I believe every patient with cancer deserves a chance at being cured, no matter where they live. I work in Tanzania for part of the year, collaborating with our partners  to improve outcomes and access to high-quality radiotherapy.

Clinical Trials

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch physicians. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your physician can decide if a study is right for you.
