Dr. Paul Riviere is a clinician-researcher focusing on the management of cancer-related pain, both directly tumor-related and from side effects of therapies. As a radiation oncologist, his current work concentrates on how radiation therapy can be used efficiently and effectively to treat tumor-related pain or prevent complications such as nerve compression or fractures. Dr. Riviere has also studied how policies surrounding the opioid epidemic have affected the management of cancer pain.
He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the Radiological Society of North America.
