Dr. Juergen Meyer serves as the Clinical Physics lead at Fred Hutch, where he works alongside a team of medical physicists to provide clinical medical physics services in external beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy.
With more than 25 years of experience in the field, Dr. Meyer has made many contributions to medical physics through both clinical practice and education. He has mentored over 20 medical physics residents and more than 35 graduate students, helping to train the next generation of professionals in the discipline.
He is actively engaged in national and international professional activities and has delivered over 30 invited lectures across the United States and internationally. His scholarly work includes around 100 peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters. In addition to his research and clinical leadership, Dr. Meyer supports scientific publishing as a member of the editorial board for Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine and as an Associate Editor for Physica Medica (European Journal of Medical Physics).
Dr. Meyer is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology (ESTRO), Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM, UK), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizinische Physik (DGMP, Germany), Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM), and Society of Directors of Academic Medical Physics Programs (SDAMPP).
