Member
Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR), Fred Hutch
Dr. Erin Gillespie is a board-certified radiation oncologist whose research focuses on understanding variation in the quality and types of treatments people receive and identifying ways to bring best practices to patients no matter where they live. Her focus is on implementation science and the application to clinical radiation oncology, particularly on care related to breast cancer. She is interested in understanding patients’ experiences with lower-grade toxicities like fatigue, pain and the financial burdens associated with travel related to treatment and improving management of these symptoms.
Dr. Gillespie’s research efforts are driven by a mission to serve varying populations and expand access to high-quality, patient-centered care through innovation in how cancer care is delivered.
