Dr. Christopher D. Blosser is a transplant nephrologist and medical director of the Cancer and Organ Transplant Clinic (COTC) at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. He is also the director of the Center for Innovations in Cancer & Transplant, a related research center focused on understanding and solving the significant challenges faced by this high-risk patient group. He has more than 20 years of clinical experience in nephrology and transplant medicine.
After graduating from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Blosser completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in transplant immunology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine.
He is the past chair of the American Society of Transplantation Kidney/Pancreas Advisory Council and serves on the organization’s Transplant Research Network organizing committee. In addition, he is an associate editor for the American Journal of Transplantation. Dr. Blosser also conducts research involving adherence to health care and medications, including using social media technologies.
In 2022, he was an American Society of Transplantation Visionaries Challenge finalist, and in 2024, he was named a Top Doctor by Seattle Metropolitan. He has contributed to multiple publications and has more than 40 citations. Dr. Blosser is board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
