I have always been passionate about contributing to the oral well being of society. I feel an honor to be able to provide oral care to the unique needs of patients at SCCA. Being an oral medicine specialist allows me to combine my knowledge of dentistry with the latest scientific discoveries in oral oncology, so that I can provide the best care to patients with complex medical needs. I have been involved in research studying the association of comorbidities including anxiety, depression and somatization in patients with oral lichen planus and oral lichenoid lesions. I hope to see improvements in the treatment options for the various oral mucosal complications associated with the cancer and cancer therapies to help improve the quality of life of cancer survivors. I also hope that people will be more aware of the etiology and risk factors leading to oropharyngeal cancers, so that the incidence is significantly lower than what it is at present time. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, spend time with my family and volunteer for community outreach.

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch doctors. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your doctor can decide if a study is right for you.
At Fred Hutch, you receive care from a team of providers with extensive experience in your disease. Your team includes doctors, a patient care coordinator, a registered nurse, an advanced practice provider and others, based on your needs. You also have access to experts like nutritionists, social workers, acupuncturists, psychiatrists and more who specialize in supporting people with cancer or blood disorders.
Fred Hutch accepts most national private health insurance plans as well as Medicare. We also accept Medicaid for people from Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. We are working to ensure that everyone, no matter what their financial situation, has access to the care they need.
The Media Relations team at Fred Hutch is available to assist members of the news media who would like to arrange interviews with providers.
