Hematology-Oncology

Medical Oncology

“The focus of my care prioritizes your values and autonomy. Let me help you make informed decisions to reach your health goals with respect, compassion and professional excellence.”

— Parisa

What brought you to oncology and the acute clinical evaluation team?

My career has always been driven by a passion for serving high-acuity patients. After more than 18 years of working in inpatient oncology, critical care and the Rapid Response/STAT team at UW Medical Center – Montlake, I transitioned to the Fred Hutch Acute Clinical Evaluation (ACE) Clinic to continue supporting these patients in a new capacity. I also evaluate and medically manage patients experiencing acute clinical status changes throughout Infusion Services and am the Fred Hutch Rapid Response team leader during urgent situations. Being an ACE provider allows me to uniquely integrate my interests in oncology, internal medicine and emergency medicine.

What do you hope it’s like for a patient to work with you?

My hope is to build a foundation of trust by understanding what matters most to each of my patients. By taking a holistic approach to their well-being, I hope to maintain their safety while collaborating with them on medical decisions to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Your team includes physicians, a patient care coordinator, a registered nurse, an advanced practice provider and others, based on your needs. You also have access to experts like registered dietitians, social workers, acupuncturists, psychiatrists and more who specialize in supporting people with cancer or blood disorders.
