Hematology-Oncology

“I aim to develop treatment plans that align with each patient’s values and goals and strive to make sure each patient feels empowered to participate in their care decisions.”

— Molly

What brought you to your role of caring for blood and marrow transplant patients?

I value the collaborative nature of this area of practice, since the best patient care is delivered when we medical professionals maintain a team approach. I also enjoy the complexity of this field, as it requires a strong background in both internal medicine and oncology.

What do you value about your work and providing patient care?

I appreciate developing relationships with patients over a long period. I am grateful to be in a specialty that allows me to be there for patients as they face the challenges and celebrate the successes that come with such an intense time in their lives.

I recognize how daunting it can be to face a major diagnosis, and I try to support patients by providing clear communication and spending as much time as needed to address questions and concerns.

Area of Clinical Practice
Hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplantation

I am a certified physician assistant who sees patients at the South Lake Union Clinic and Fred Hutch at UW Medical Center - Montlake.

I am passionate about mental health advocacy. I have a degree in psychology and a background in social work. I bring what I have learned from these experiences with me into my current role, recognizing the importance of addressing both physical and mental health with patients. Clinical Trials

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch physicians. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your physician can decide if a study is right for you.

Your Care Team

At Fred Hutch, you receive care from a team of providers with extensive experience in your disease. Your team includes physicians, a patient care coordinator, a registered nurse, an advanced practice provider and others, based on your needs. You also have access to experts like registered dietitians, social workers, acupuncturists, psychiatrists and more who specialize in supporting people with cancer or blood disorders.

Insurance

Fred Hutch accepts most national private health insurance plans as well as Medicare. We also accept Medicaid for people from Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. We are working to ensure that everyone, no matter what their financial situation, has access to the care they need.
