I value the relationships I have with patients and being part of a field where there is ongoing, cutting-edge research and you can see things change over time. We are working toward ultimately eliminating cancer, and it is amazing to see what new therapies have already become available in the time I’ve been a nurse.
My mom is a breast cancer survivor, and she was diagnosed when I was in nursing school. I already knew I wanted to help people, and then I was thrown into the world of oncology from her perspective. I went with her to as many radiation appointments and chemotherapy infusions as I could, and I was in the hospital with her while she was recovering from a double mastectomy. Witnessing the whole process firsthand, and the compassion and care from providers, had a tremendous impact on me. They had a genuine interest in who she was as a person beyond being a patient with cancer.
Area of clinical practice
Breast oncology, breast wellness
I am an advanced registered nurse practitioner who sees patients at the South Lake Union Clinic.
Everyone here is passionate about cancer care and working toward common goals. We genuinely believe in what we’re doing. I'm here to be an advocate and to help answer any questions. Cancer impacts so much of a patient’s life, and I want to help people feel as much like themselves as they possibly can throughout the process while providing comfort to their loved ones as well.
