Area of Clinical Practice
Sarcoma

“I hope each patient feels seen as an individual and that you understand and feel confident in your treatment plan.”

— Dr. Davis

What do you value about your work?

I always like a challenge, and clinical care for sarcoma patients is extremely complex. These tumors can happen in any part of the body at any age, which makes things inherently difficult, and there are additional challenges with the ultra-rare sarcoma types, since we do not have a lot of data. It’s also very inspiring now because there's so much research going on; research that we’re taking part in and that is emerging around the world. There’s still much work to do, but there are exciting real-time advances that help make the challenges not overwhelming.

What do you want a patient to know about you?

I'll always be thinking about and consulting with research, but the person in front of me in the clinic is my number one priority. The hope is that the research we’re doing will help each person and that individual will help the next person by participating in research, if that’s a possibility for them.

Clinical Trials

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch physicians. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your physician can decide if a study is right for you.
