Radiation Oncology

“I understand how overwhelming cancer can be, and I am here to listen, guide and support you, not just treat your illness. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, informed and empowered.”

— Dr. Nguyen

What would you like a patient to know about you?

I want patients to know that I see them as individuals and will work with each person on developing the best treatment plans for the highest quality care. I aim to develop a relationship where patients have trust and confidence in their treatments and care.

My approach to care stems from both professional and personal experience. I am committed to delivering high quality, evidence-based treatment for patients while also providing compassionate care. I believe in open communication, making shared decisions and walking alongside patients.

How have you been personally impacted by cancer? Do you have any stories to share?

I have had several family members, including my mother, face cancer, so I understand firsthand the fear, hope and resilience that comes with a diagnosis. I also understand the importance of having a supportive team committed to providing high-quality care and am driven to provide this for patients. This perspective has also pushed me to work to provide excellent service and treat each patient with the same compassion and dedication I would want for my own loved ones.

Every patient has been a privilege to care for, but I particularly recall a patient undergoing several weeks of radiation therapy treatment who stated that they looked forward to their daily treatments and visits with our team. They would come early to their appointments and stay afterwards, since they had built connections with other patients in the lobby and appreciated the community. They felt we, their care team, had all become family to them. It is gratifying to be able to provide such high-quality care and support for our patients.
