“My care is focused on helping people to recognize their strengths and take charge of their health during treatment and long-term survival. When useful, I offer specific skills to assist people in being as comfortable as possible both during and after treatment.”

Provider Background

Area of Clinical Practice
Psychology

I am a psychologist who provides care to patients during and after cancer treatment at South Lake Union Clinic and Fred Hutch at UW Medical Center - Montlake. I consider caring for people as they experience the challenges that cancer brings into their lives a privilege. I believes that helping patients take charge of their experiences and make choices that respect their own priorities is the most rewarding part of my work.

My clinical interests include cancer survivorship, cancer treatment side effects, emotional distress, cognitive problems, post-traumatic stress, physical activity and hypnosis for managing symptoms.

My research interests include defining problems and solutions for cancer survivors, especially young adults, strategies for meeting healthcare and wellness needs of cancer survivors and using technology to provide for long-term needs of cancer survivors.
