Even as a young child, I was interested in medicine. At age 15, I began volunteering in the oncology unit at Evergreen Hospital. It opened my eyes to the difficult journey that cancer patients are on and inspired me to find a way I could help. I started my career as a registered nurse and worked in oncology for several years before becoming a nurse practitioner. My role as a nurse practitioner is very rewarding because I build strong relationships with patients and families while supporting them throughout the course of their treatment.
This diagnosis can change your world. As a health care provider, I strive to communicate transparently with you and ensure you are completely informed before you make any decisions. I try to answer all your questions while taking into account the life you lead, because everybody is different. I think my patients appreciate that I’m honest and the fact that their needs are my top priority.
My role as an ARNP in hematologic malignancies is to provide evidence-based care, to ensure that the quality of care you receive is excellent and to make sure that I advocate for you to the best of my ability — whatever your individual needs and goals may be. Cancer care has been my passion for a long time. This is a very exciting field; it’s ever-changing as we find new treatments and new ways to help you.

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch doctors. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your doctor can decide if a study is right for you.
At Fred Hutch, you receive care from a team of providers with extensive experience in your disease. Your team includes doctors, a patient care coordinator, a registered nurse, an advanced practice provider and others, based on your needs. You also have access to experts like nutritionists, social workers, acupuncturists, psychiatrists and more who specialize in supporting people with cancer or blood disorders.
Fred Hutch accepts most national private health insurance plans as well as Medicare. We also accept Medicaid for people from Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. We are working to ensure that everyone, no matter what their financial situation, has access to the care they need.
The Media Relations team at Fred Hutch is available to assist members of the news media who would like to arrange interviews with providers.
