Rehabilitation Medicine

“My role as a rehabilitation physician is to help you live as fully and comfortably as possible while navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatments.”

— Dr. Lewis

What goals do you have as a physician?

Collaboration and communication are key parts of the recovery process. My goal is to create an environment where each person feels heard, supported and respected. I want to find a treatment plan that works for you. If something isn't getting the results we are after, then we’ll figure it out together.

How do you approach providing patient care?

I want to learn about each person’s symptoms and goals and then work together to develop a plan to meet these goals related to function, mobility and quality of life. This could be reducing fatigue, managing pain or helping you get back to the activities that matter most to you.
