“Everyone who works here — whether you’re a provider or at the front desk — genuinely wants to take care of each person who comes through our doors.”

— Antoinette

What brought you to oncology?

From the start of my career, I knew I wanted to focus on orthopedics and sports medicine. When I was given the chance to be a provider working in orthopedic oncology, I knew that this was an opportunity I could not pass up. I saw it as the best of both worlds. It allowed me to focus on orthopedics and work in a subspeciality that would continue to expand my knowledge in the field.

What do you value about your work?

I like that it allows me to be inquisitive. No patient case is exactly the same. With that, every day is different. That kind of variability is what I look forward to each day. Beyond that, I get to work with multiple team members across specialties, both within oncology and orthopedics. This type of collaboration is what makes Fred Hutch special. We all work together as a team, and everyone is passionate and knowledgeable.

Provider Background

Area of clincal practice

Orthopedics

I am an advanced registered nurse practitioner who sees patients at the South Lake Union Clinic, UW Medical Center – Montlake and UW Medical Center – Northwest.

I provide care to adults diagnosed with tumors and tumor-like conditions of the bone and soft tissue. I want patients to feel empowered to advocate for their health and not be afraid to ask questions. I want to get to know them and create a relationship over the course of their treatment.

Clinical Trials

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch doctors. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your doctor can decide if a study is right for you.

Your Care Team

At Fred Hutch, you receive care from a team of providers with extensive experience in your disease. Your team includes doctors, a patient care coordinator, a registered nurse, an advanced practice provider and others, based on your needs. You also have access to experts like nutritionists, social workers, acupuncturists, psychiatrists and more who specialize in supporting people with cancer or blood disorders.

Insurance

Fred Hutch accepts most national private health insurance plans as well as Medicare. We also accept Medicaid for people from Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. We are working to ensure that everyone, no matter what their financial situation, has access to the care they need.
