Radiology

“I aim to provide succinct imaging reports that help answer clinical questions so providers and patients can make the best decisions.”

— Dr. Abadi

What brought you to abdominal imaging as a focus?

I decided to pursue abdominal imaging because it is heavily involved with patients currently in oncologic care. Additionally, with the advent of new technological advances in CT, MRI and ultrasound, we can sometimes provide definitive diagnoses and prevent patients from having to undergo invasive procedures.

How have you been personally impacted by cancer?

My father was diagnosed with ocular melanoma when I was 12 years old. He was a role model of kindness, respect and prioritizing others’ needs before his. This motivated me to study medicine and eventually radiology and oncologic imaging. While I don't usually see patients face-to-face, I always review their charts to paint a picture of them in my mind before reading their radiology images, so I have a full clinical context.
