“I’m inspired by the power of the immune system to treat cancer and by the opportunity to care for you during some of your most challenging moments.”

— Dr. Liang

How do you approach providing patient care?

I see each patient as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. I take the time to understand what matters most to people and their families. By combining the latest science with compassionate care, I work with patients to make decisions that best fit their goals and support them throughout treatment.

Do you have a favorite memory of working with a patient you’d like to share?

One of my first patients with leukemia was a young woman who left a lasting impression on me. I cared for her through chemotherapy and its side effects, and we celebrated together when she went into remission. That experience inspired me to pursue hematology-oncology and strengthened my commitment to supporting patients through every step of their care.

Clinical Trials

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch physicians and researchers. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your physician can decide if a study is right for you.
