Fred Hutch turns 50!

Take a look back at half a century of leading-edge research and compassionate care.

Recently retired grants administrator Bonnie Kraskouskas worked at Fred Hutch Cancer Center for more than three decades, years in which she got married and got pregnant. Before her oldest child, Katie, was born, a researcher gave Kraskouskas a distinctive baby gift: the application fee for Katie to attend Hutch Kids daycare.

Katie was about three months old when she enrolled. Now 29, she works as a research technician and processes cord blood samples from patients enrolled in clinical trials. In this episode, mother and daughter talk about what it’s like to have a generational legacy at Fred Hutch.
