Translational Data Science Integrated Research Center
Dr. Gottardo heads Fred Hutch’s Translational Data Science Integrated Research Center, which launched in November 2018. This cross-divisional, collaborative research effort will enable the Hutch to leverage recent advances — and spur future innovation — in large-scale biological experiments, computational methods and infrastructure. Dr. Gottardo’s leadership will help position Fred Hutch as an incubator for new computational tools and methodologies and as a translator of data-driven discoveries into improved patient care.
Developing methods and tools for high-throughput, high-dimensional experiments with applications in vaccine research, immunology and immunotherapy
Data integration for immune-correlate studies
Single-cell analysis (cytometry, CyTOF and single-cell RNA-seq)
Bayesian inference and computation
Teaching courses in stochastic modeling, bioinformatics and statistical computing
Supervising biostatistics and statistics doctoral students on statistical-methods research for high-dimensional omics data analysis
Statistical and computational analysis of flow cytometry data
Development of statistical and computational methods for single-cell genomics
