I treat my patients as I would treat my own family, striving to be frank and compassionate. I had a patient who had a diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer at 87 years old and was given a prognosis of six months from another provider. Fortunately, she responded to treatment and did well for many years, and when she came for her follow-up appointments, everyone was surprised to learn she was over 90. I was happy we were able to help her.
I had just started medical school when my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer. This was a profound turning point in my life. My goal is to fight cancer and make a meaningful difference for patients.
