Endocrinology
I was working in corporate finance and had the unfortunate experience of having several family members diagnosed with cancer. I had been feeling unfulfilled, and the situation made me take a step back and reevaluate what I wanted for a career. Fast-forward a few years, and I became a nurse practitioner. I am glad for the opportunity to join Fred Hutch and support patients with cancer.
When someone gets a cancer diagnosis, it can be overwhelming. So many questions come up for each patient and their family members, and it can be hard to navigate. I want to be able to help people feel less overwhelmed by breaking things down in a way they can understand, so they feel comfortable with their care throughout the process. I made my career switch because I want to help patients feel less lost and more cared for.
Area of clinical practice
Thyroid cancer, adrenal cancer
I am an advanced registered nurse practitioner who sees patients at the South Lake Union Clinic.
My focus is on thyroid cancer patients, along with patients who have immunotherapy-related endocrine side effects. It’s great for patients to have the opportunity to participate in trials and have access to the providers who are changing medicine through research.

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch doctors. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your doctor can decide if a study is right for you.
At Fred Hutch, you receive care from a team of providers with extensive experience in your disease. Your team includes doctors, a patient care coordinator, a registered nurse, an advanced practice provider and others, based on your needs. You also have access to experts like nutritionists, social workers, acupuncturists, psychiatrists and more who specialize in supporting people with cancer or blood disorders.
Fred Hutch accepts most national private health insurance plans as well as Medicare. We also accept Medicaid for people from Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. We are working to ensure that everyone, no matter what their financial situation, has access to the care they need.
