Medical Oncology

“I am deeply committed to patients’ well-being and dedicated to providing care that goes beyond just treating their medical conditions. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, focusing on the importance of listening and connecting.”

— Jenna

What do you hope it’s like for a patient to work with you?

I aim to create a compassionate environment where patients feel valued and cared for in every way. I appreciate when my patients and I can have a conversation that goes beyond their cancer, like when we talk about our favorite places to travel, favorite food spots or fun things to do. I value these moments of genuine connection and how they remind me to see the person beyond their illness.

How have you been personally impacted by cancer?

My father was recently diagnosed with cancer, and I was able to witness the struggles patients go through, both physically and mentally. Knowing this, I believe in a holistic approach to care, addressing not only physical aspects of health but also emotional and social factors that play crucial roles.

Clinical Trials

We make promising new treatments available to you through studies called clinical trials led by Fred Hutch physicians. Many of these trials at Fred Hutch have led to FDA-approved treatments and have improved standards of care globally. Together, you and your physician can decide if a study is right for you.

Your Care Team

At Fred Hutch, you receive care from a team of providers with extensive experience in your disease. Your team includes physicians, a patient care coordinator, a registered nurse, an advanced practice provider and others, based on your needs. You also have access to experts like registered dietitians, social workers, acupuncturists, psychiatrists and more who specialize in supporting people with cancer or blood disorders.

Insurance

Fred Hutch accepts most national private health insurance plans as well as Medicare. We also accept Medicaid for people from Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. We are working to ensure that everyone, no matter what their financial situation, has access to the care they need.
