Radiology

“I am committed to providing comprehensive care customized for each patient while applying the latest research. I always give primary consideration to my patients’ well-being.”

— Dr. Castellanos R.

How have you been personally impacted by cancer?

Since I was young, my family has faced the impact of cancer on multiple generations, including children and adults. These experiences have deeply influenced my character and granted me insight into the challenges faced by patients and their families at every stage.

What drew you to nuclear medicine?

I am fascinated by its expansive growth and by how we are integrating molecular and functional imaging and therapeutic techniques. Diagnosis of diseases at the molecular level — rather than when we can identify architectural changes — can be applied to neurological, cardiovascular, infectious, endocrine, oncological, and other conditions. The potential advancements in this field are numerous and exhilarating.
