Background

Dr. Megan Othus is a biostatistician who studies how to refine and improve the analysis of complex data from clinical trials. Specifically, she focuses on survival analysis, cure modeling, change-point problems, and longitudinal and multivariate data analysis. Her collaborative research includes the design, conduct and analysis of cancer research studies, particularly melanoma and leukemia clinical trials. She also studies the cost effectiveness of various cancer treatment approaches. Dr. Othus specializes in developing statistical methods for correlated survival data, which arise in many types of biomedical research. For example, data from population-based studies can reveal survival rates based on geographical location.
