Bailey Jacobson

Valuing Patient Centered Care

Bailey Jacobson was inspired to pursue a career in health care and oncology rehabilitation after clinical experiences in acute care settings and specialized voice and swallowing rehabilitation centers in Seattle and Portland. She is passionate about the science and art of speech-language pathology and is honored for the opportunity to help patients at Fred Hutch Cancer Center with functions often taken for granted, communicating with loved ones and sharing meals with friends or family. She values building meaningful connections with patients and focuses on empowering them to achieve functional, personalized goals to enhance their quality of life during cancer treatment.

When she is not working with patients, Bailey enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, camping, exploring the outdoors, and discovering new restaurants around Seattle.

Patient Care Philosophy

I am passionate about providing holistic care and empowering patients to adapt and recover following cancer and cancer treatments to minimize side effects and restore quality of life. Communication and our ability to eat and drink are deeply connected to our shared experiences with others. My goal is to motivate and support patients through functional changes of treatment, optimize communication and swallowing, and meet my patients where they are to help maximize patient autonomy.
