He also serves as the associate medical director for Inpatient Oncology and the clinical director of Neuro Oncology.
Venur specializes in treating patients with primary brain tumors and central nervous system (CNS) metastases — cancers that have spread to the brain, spinal cord or spinal fluid from elsewhere in the body. As a clinical researcher, he is leading efforts to expand the availability of clinical trials, including studies of immunotherapies that may offer new treatment options for patients with these conditions.
