How Do I Find the Infectious Disease Innovation Center (IDIC)?
The IDIC is in the Fred Hutch Minor Building, located on our campus in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. The Minor Building is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Aloha St. and Minor Ave. N.
Enter the Minor Building from the parking garage, even if you do not park in the garage. Walk to the building’s access door in the garage. Press the intercom button to the left of the door and a member of the IDIC study team will let you in and direct you where to go.

From I-5
- Take exit 167 for Mercer St./Seattle Center.
- If you are northbound on I-5, you will exit I-5 from the far-left lane.
- If you are southbound, you will exit I-5 from the far-right lane.
- As you exit, move to the far-right lane.
- Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Fairview Ave. N.
- Veer right at the light, staying on Fairview Ave. N. Travel one block to Aloha St.
- Turn right onto Aloha St.
- The Minor Building will be on your right.
- To enter the Minor Building parking garage, turn right into the driveway just after Minor Ave. N.
From the east via 520
- Exit onto I-5 south.
- Follow the directions above from I-5.
From the east via I-90
- Take I-90 west.
- Exit onto I-5 north.
- Follow the directions above from I-5.
Parking Information
Visitors to the Minor Building may park in the building’s parking garage at no cost.
- The entrance to the parking garage is on the north side of the building.
- To enter the Minor Building parking garage, turn right into the driveway just after Minor Ave. N.
