I joined Fred Hutch in February 2024. I work with the palliative care team caring for our patients that are referred to us for the Supportive and Palliative Care Service. I became a clinical pharmacist because I had a strong interest in health care and medicine and have been practicing clinical pharmacy for 28 years.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active hiking, exercising with my CrossFit community, practicing and teaching meditation, and playing the piano.
Patient Care Philosophy
My care approach is to try to understand what are the needs of the patient and how best can I serve them in a compassionate and understanding way. It’s important for me to help my patients understand the context of medication use, what to expect and how to use them in the most effective and safest possible way. I also aspire to palliate suffering through presence and compassion, doing what I can to alleviate anxieties and fears and provide support so my patients feel seen, heard and cared for.
