From Our Experts

Celebrating 10 Years of Our Value in Cancer Care Initiative
We’ve spent a decade working alongside providers, patients and other stakeholders to improve the quality of cancer care while reducing its high cost. This year, work has focused on bias and other barriers to patient care, including the financial burden of cancer treatment.

Working Together to Transform Research and Care with Applied AI
We're spearheading a project with three other NCI-designated cancer centers to leverage artificial intelligence technology to uncover new insights. The Cancer AI Alliance — CAIA — includes Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins.

Improving the Patient Experience with Nurse Navigation
Nurse navigators play an important role in helping newly diagnosed patients coordinate their care, get connected with resources, and reduce emergency department visits. Since its inception, the program has cut the median time from diagnosis to therapy from 42 days down to 28 days.
