Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Physicians Named in Seattle Met’s 2022 “Top Doctors”

The newly integrated organization had over 40 physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners recognized in the 2022 list of top doctors

SEATTLE — September 6, 2022 — Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, now Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch), the only National Cancer Institute - designated cancer center in Washington is proud to announce more than 40 physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners are included in the Seattle Met Magazine’s 2022 Top Doctors list.

Clinicians were recognized across 15 practice areas, including in the specialties of Hematology/Oncology as well as Breast and Cancer Surgery.

“Every clinician at Fred Hutch contributes to our culture of collaboration and compassion and that allows us to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients,” said Dr. Nancy Davidson, executive vice president for clinical affairs, and senior vice president of the Clinical Research Division and Raisbeck Endowed Chair for Collaborative Research. “It is a testament to their great work that our staff are included on this list year over year.  I am honored to work alongside each one of them and am proud of their commitment to patient care.”

Honorees were chosen by their peers in King, Snohomish, Kitsap and Pierce counties for their years of experience, competency, rapport with patients and patient satisfaction, ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across specialties to deliver the best patient care, and other factors.

The “Top Doctors” list from Seattle Met is in its 17th year and features the best health practitioners in the Seattle area in 80 practice areas, as voted by their peers. A total of 988 providers appear on the list. This year’s list resulted from a poll conducted by Professional Research Services. Healthcare practitioners licensed by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) in King, Snohomish, Kitsap and Pierce Counties were asked, “If you or a loved one needed care, whom would you choose?”

About Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center combines adult cancer care and advanced scientific research, and has a history of discoveries that treat, cure and identify prevention strategies for cancer and infectious diseases. The organization was renamed in April 2022, following the merger of long-time partners, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization that serves as UW Medicine’s cancer program.

Fred Hutch has been a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center since 1973. Global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS, immunotherapy and COVID-19 helped Fred Hutch earn recognition as one of the world’s leading cancer, infectious disease and biomedical research centers. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch operates eight clinical care sites that provide medical oncology, infusion, radiation, proton therapy and related services, and has network affiliations with hospitals in five states.
