Dr. Susan Dolbert, the Center’s new vice president for Development, started Sept. 1.
She comes to us from Scottsdale, Ariz., where she served for six years as chair of the Department of Development and chief development officer for Mayo Clinic Arizona. Under her leadership, the clinic successfully completed capital and programmatic campaigns.
She has longstanding experience in the development field and also served for eight years as president and director of the Arizona State University Alumni Association. Her master's degree in communications and doctorate in public administration are both from ASU.
She was hired after an eight-month national recruitment effort involving Center executive leadership teams, the board of trustees and the Development Department.
"Susan brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to her work," said Dr. Larry Corey, president and director. "She exhibits a passion for science, medical care and philanthropy, and we are thrilled she has joined the Center."
