Wendy Law receives NWABR outreach award

Dr. Wendy Law's support of the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research earned her an Outreach Partner Award at the organization's annual members' meeting on Jan. 24.

Each year, the NWABR chooses two of its volunteers to receive the award, which honors commitment to the group's mission of promoting understanding of biomedical research.

Law, a translational-outcomes researcher in the Public Health Sciences Division, served on the advisory board for NWABR's Ethics in Science program the past three years. Law played a key role in reviewing curriculum materials used by high-school teachers worldwide. She also helped develop and served as an expert panelist for NWABR's 2005 "Medicines and Your Health" teacher workshop.

Earlier in her Center career, Law served as the associate director of science for the former HutchLab program.
