This free event featured a keynote address by Brenda Elsagher, a colorectal cancer survivor, comedian and author.  The program included breakout sessions led by experts in the fields of nutrition, complementary medicine, exercise, lymphedema, sleep hygiene, intimacy and sexuality, sress management and yoga, to name a few.

The event was attended by nearly 250 individuals affected by cancer.  The post-event evaluations showed overwhelmingly positive feedback; requests and comments will be used in planning future events.

Here are just a few comments from attendees when asked what they like best about this event:

"Gathering with other survivors, laughing with the main speaker, all of the breakout sessions and the Survivorship Care Planning  I love it all the best!"

"It was a great way, without being overwhelming, to move towards coping with survivorship.  Loved Brenda as keynote!"

"The patient panel is touching and encouraging  that's why I keep coming every year."

"All of it! So very glad I came today! It was time well spent.  I'm looking forward to next year already!"

"My first visit to Fred Hutch campus.  Very well organized, loved free and easy parking. Range of topics covered, excellent catering quality. Also enjoyed learning about new support organizations through the hallway tables. Loved the humorous beginning with the keynote speaker."

"So well organized! Awesome people, all around great day!"
